What is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese word that means Spiritually Guided Life-force Energy. Reiki is a unique healing system of spiritual beauty and wonder. Reiki bestows upon us the gift of healing that opens our heart to feel compassion and unconditional love for others and ourselves.

Why is Reiki unique?

Reiki is unique due to the method used whereby the Reiki energy is accessed through what is known as the Reiki attunement, using Reiki symbols. The Reiki symbols are the essence and the key to the healing system.

The Reiki attunement is very special and beautiful and can only be performed by a suitably qualified Reiki Master.

During the attunement, the Reiki symbols are drawn into your energy field and this opens up your Crown, Third Eye, Heart and Hand chakras (energy centres), 'tuning' you into the Source, your Higher Self – rather like tuning into a specific wavelength for a specific radio station.

Once you are attuned, you are re-connected to your Higher Self and become a channel for the Reiki healing energy and have the gift of healing for life.

Reiki is not a religion of belief system. The Reiki practitioner is the channel through which the Reiki energy flows.

The Reiki energy has its own intelligence and wisdom and will flow wherever it is needed (the source of imbalance), bringing healing, balance and harmony to the mind, body and spirit.

If you believe that you are responsible for your own healing and transformation then Reiki will give you the awareness, courage and ability to empower yourself and others.

Reiki is a method of healing, which enables you not only to heal yourself but also others. Pets and plants also respond well to Reiki.

Reiki is an ideal on its own or a way to enhance and complement other therapies.
