Client Success Story - Tuina Course (Chinese Massage)
"The course I attended was fantastic. Bharat was friendly and put everything over in an easy to follow and understandable way.
I learnt a lot of useful techniques which I am sure will be very effective to relieve pain and tension and it will most definitely relax and relieve stress.
When I was practised on, I felt euphoric after these techniques were used on me. I would thoroughly recommend this course to non-therapists as well, as Bharat's way of teaching is great." Lisa Woods.

Tuina is an integral part of the Traditional Chinese Medicine, which also includes acupuncture, herbal medicine and Qi Kung and dates back over 4,500 years. I
t is widely practised in hospitals and clinics throughout China and is complementary to both TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) and orthodox medicine.
Tuina is based on the understanding that the body functions as a whole, linked by vital energy or Qi, which flows along meridians and these meridians interlace as a network throughout the body.
Pressure of varying and controlled intensities, with constantly varying directions, is applied using palms, forearms, fingers, thumbs, knuckles, elbows and even feet to the body and more specifically to acupressure points. Massage, stretches and joint manipulation can also be applied as part of the Tuina treatment. In combination these remove blockages to the flow of energy and restore balance.
Tuina is especially effective in the treatment of :
Acute and chronic pain, tension, stiffness and reduced joint mobility in the musculo-skeletal system including sports injuries. Conditions such as neck, shoulder and back pain, as well as, sciatica, frozen shoulder, arthritis, sports injures including tennis and golfers elbow, headaches, migraines and IBS all respond well to Tuina.
This course offers the therapist as well as the non-therapist the thorough knowledge and practical skills needed to apply Tuina on the head, neck, shoulders, back, arms and hands.
